At present the world is faced with a complex environmental situation. Everyday the air, soil, water, human beings, fauna and flora are endangered. To reduce the risk, the debilitating effects of human activities have to be minimised.
Energy is a felt-need all over Ethiopia. This is highly pronounced in the rural part of the country. Supply of energy from bio-mass could not cope-up with the needs of the rural community. alternative forms of energy including hydropower have been given particular attention.
